The Colours of M – Grief

£65.00

This print is exploring the colours of grief. Black is the predominant colour of grief and mourning in western culture, but other cultures also use white, red, purple and gold to represent purity/rebirth, spirituality, royalty, and respect as part of mourning. These colours form the base of this design and are then overlaid with black to convey the state of grieving. For me this state feels dark, everything is a bit muted. The colours are there but just not as bright as they would usually be. The result is different shades of black, which next to each other look quite colourful again.

Printed on Hahnemuhle Photorag, 308gsm. Made out of 100% cotton rag. An uncoated paper with a natural white tone.

These prints are made to order. Please allow 1-2 more days for production and finishing.

The dimensions are 280 x 380mm with a printed area of about 160 x 160mm.

Sold without a frame.
